Unofficial Weather Prognostication The ideal weather for being in our rainforest is clear most of the day with an afternoon or evening shower lasting 1-2 hours. This weather allows guests to do almost all of the activities The Lodge offers and at the same time to enjoy cooler temperatures and a more lush landscape. Thankfully it is the most common weather at The Lodge, except during the drier months of May-July when it is almost always clear and warmer. Like most places in the world, there are days scattered throughout the year when it rains the entire day, which prohibits our guests from doing the Premium Activities we offer. On rare occasions these rain days can occur continuously for several or more days. Historically, October and November are the rainiest months in our part of Honduras, and May and June are historically the drier months. The rains should gradually slow down as you go from November to May and then gradually increase from June to October. Mother Nature, however, sometimes has her own calendar.
