One of the premier snorkeling locations of the world, the Cayos Cochinos are a group of 15 small remote islands about 10 miles from the shores of La Ceiba.
Located on the world's second largest barrier reef, these islands are part of the Bay Islands of Honduras. A true marine paradise, the Cayos Cochinos and their surrounding coral reef have been designated a protected biological reserve. The protected area covers approximately 190 square miles (490 square kilometers).
The Lodge at Pico Bonito offers its guests snorkeling above one for the few remaining unspoiled coral reefs. It is the perfect complement to a stay in the rainforest.
The Cayos Cachinos are reached by a 26-foot outboard motor boat. The Lodge provides fins, masks and snorkels. The snorkeling trip includes a fresh fish lunch at a Garifuna village on one of the islands.
Snorkeling adventure - $130 per person with lunch (*2 person minimum)
